Frequently Asked Questions

How do I calculate BMI from kg and cm?
Divide your weight in kg by your height in meters squared. First convert cm to meters (divide by 100), then square it, then divide your weight by that number. Example: 80 kg, 180 cm = 80 / (1.8^2) = 80 / 3.24 = 24.7.
What BMI is considered healthy?
A BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 is considered healthy weight by the WHO. This range is associated with the lowest risk of chronic disease and mortality at a population level.
Is 25 BMI overweight?
A BMI of exactly 25.0 is the threshold for overweight. The overweight range extends from 25.0 to 29.9. However, being right at 25.0 is very close to normal and may not be clinically significant — context (muscle mass, waist circumference, overall health) matters.
